H7b1 Selects Equivio™ technology for automated clustering of documents in litigation and investigation databases

European litigation technology service firm H7b1 expands document processing and review support solutions with Equivio’s near-duplicate, email thread and analytics technology.

GENEVA, Switzerland (31 December 2010) – Swiss Group H7b1 (www.h7b1.com), the forerunner of the litigation technology practice on continental Europe, announces its selection of Equivio, Inc. as a strategic technology partner.

Equivio provides software focused on identifying duplicates and near-duplicates, capturing e-mail threads and assessing document search relevance, within the scope of legal matters.

“After evaluating our options, we’ve concluded that Equivio is by far, the most appropriate technological solution available for data clustering in our professional domain, and a particularly well suited technology add-on for our processing and review solutions,” said Rafik Abboud, CEO of H7b1.

“We’ve also verified its compatibility with the other data privacy support options we offer in our document review support solutions and have been amazed by the potential of this tool in terms of supporting EU data privacy compliance. We look forward to this promising technology partnership”, he added.

Commenting on the development, Amir Milo, CEO of Equivio, said, “This selection of Equivio products by Swiss firm H7b1 is exciting news.  Now H7b1 will be able to build on its existing service offering with the improved accuracy and efficiency of Equivio innovation and technology.  We are delighted about partnering with H7b1 and look forward to the development of usage of Equivio in continental Europe.”
